Good day all,
Several of you have been following the weirdness of our accidental garden.
About a year ago I started a mulch pile in the back yard both to produce some decent soil for our yard and to avoid throwing out lots of good mulch-able kitchen by-products. Then earlier this year, I noticed a couple of plants growing out of the pile. It made sense as we have been chucking our veggie clippings and scrapes into the pile so some seeds took advantage of the mature pile and just went for it.
Easily the most spectacular plant has been a single spaghetti squash plant which now extends about 18×21 feet wide and has over 20 fruit present.
Just for the fun of it, here’s a quick tour of what one can do with a spaghetti squash.
