New 99-Word Fiction :: Finding A New Balance

Greetings all,

Our host for the Carrot Ranch  99-Word Story project is back and is kicking off a new year with the challenge of creating a 99 word story around the word, ‘Sabbatical”.  My new sstory is about a man who survived a big change with his time away from work. This is not the change anyone would want but some have had to put up with.

99 words will take you 30-40 seconds to read. How long it takes you to think it through may prove to be a whole different challenge.

New 99-Word Fiction :: His Daughter’s Dance Show

Greetings all,

This is for us dads. If you have a daughter, you most likely have been in this situation, the dreaded dance recital. We just see this world different and sometimes from different perspectives only seconds apart.

99 words can bring it all back but you’ll have to decide if the memory is pleasant or painful.

I’m announcing new 99-word, 30 second story. Frequent readers will recognize this ongoing battle I’m in with nature, but a turn has be reached and accomplished.  I hope you’ll give it a quick read.

Our prompt host asked for stories using “Oh my.”

New Short Fiction :: The Search For a Maskil

Greetings all,

I’m announcing a new piece of Short Fiction.  These 1478 word story should be about a 5 minute read. It was inspired both by the latest #WritePhoto prompt from KL Caley and an instructor who’s classes I loved in high school because he would easily have done this to us – and as he did anyway, make a huge impact on our lives.

New 99-Word Fiction :: The Rule of New Food

Greetings all,

I’m announcing new 99-word, 30 second piece of fiction.

Our prompt host asked for stories that includes something squeaky.

I chose to highlight some of the fun of introducing our kids to unfamiliar foods – for which they knew we had a rule they were expected to comply with.
