Greetings all, Update:
I’m pretty jazzed to announce a new cleaner layout of my story blog.
I had several folks tell me that they hate hierarchical menus. Really? I thought, Do such people exist, because I love menu systems . . .?
But people who I respect as knowing more than I do about such things convinced me that I’m in the minority on this topic, so I yielded to their wisdom and all but eliminated my detailed nested menus while still preserving an easy way to find groups of stories of interest.
I’m using the same theme as last week, but now instead of nested menus to get to each story, my new system is: from any of my pages, one click, a scroll, and a second click takes you to a story.
I’m looking at enhancing these lists to include story summaries, but that will take some time to develop.
In the meantime, if you’ve depended only on being fed story links from posts, I invite you to try my new menu/index menus and story lists. If you’ve enjoyed my work in the past, you can now easily check to see if you’ve missed anything.
I hope to find you prowling my virtual shelves soon. Oh look, the new menu is already at the top of this window. I’ll politely step aside so you can check it out right now.
Oh, you want a suggestion? Sorry, of course you do.
Okay, did you catch my 99-word story titled, Free Pie Day, published earlier this year on March 14 – known to many as Pi Day?
Under FICTION look for – Micro Fiction: 99-Word Story Index for your 1st click.
Scroll down to find – Free Pie Day and make your second click for a 30 second laugh.
Do let me know if you agree with those experts who convinced me to do this.
